About Mitus Care
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a fulfilling, independent and meaningful life, with support that respects dignity, choice and individual aspirations.
Care that starts with listening
We provide personalised support to adults aged 18–65 with mental health needs. Our work is based on each person’s circumstances, strengths, needs, choices and aspirations.
We work alongside individuals, families, housing providers, local authorities, NHS services and other professionals to provide coordinated and effective support. Our aim is to help people develop independence, maintain wellbeing and participate meaningfully in their communities.
We treat people with dignity, compassion and respect and keep them involved in decisions about their care and support.

Working with people, not simply doing things for them
Where appropriate, we encourage people to make decisions, build practical skills, take positive risks, maintain relationships, access their community and pursue meaningful opportunities.
Respect
Each person’s privacy, preferences, equality, human rights and personal choices matter.
Growth
We focus on strengths and help people build confidence, skills and greater independence.
Safety
Independence is balanced with proportionate risk assessment, safeguarding and safe support planning.
Compassionate, respectful and accountable
We aim to recruit people who are compassionate, respectful, reliable and committed to supporting others. Recruitment includes appropriate checks such as DBS, employment history, references, right-to-work and other relevant suitability checks.
Staff receive induction and training, with ongoing learning, supervision and competency assessment to support safe and effective practice.
Continuous improvement
We review the quality and effectiveness of our service and learn from feedback, complaints, compliments, incidents, audits, care reviews, staff supervision, training and professional feedback.
Where improvements are identified, we take appropriate action and monitor progress.
